Our Team

At the center of CATE is a multidisciplinary group of individuals dedicated to educating the next generation of climate leaders, with areas of expertise ranging from World Languages to atmospheric chemistry and U.S. history. We seek to collaborate with educators, students, teachers unions, and MIT community members as much as possible.

CATE Team

MIT CATE is led by Faculty Director Christopher R. Knittel, a group of incredible high school teachers, project manager, and various undergraduate and high school students.

MIT Faculty Review Committee

This committee was convened to evaluate our curriculum and provide feedback in line with MIT rigor. The group has expertise in: interdisciplinary education, geophysics, paleoclimate and climate science, energy, earth and environmental sciences, materials science and engineering, civil and environmental engineering, atmospheric chemistry, economics, the consumer impact of climate policy, and more.
