Julia Bae is a high school student at The Winsor School in Boston. As one of the few high school members on the CATE team, she performed a comprehensive review of the CATE curriculum, provided a student’s perspective, and gave valuable feedback. She focused on the carbon pricing content of the LIFE! module and board game, incorporating CEEPR carbon pricing research into lectures and discussions for middle and high school students. She also tabled at the 2023 MOS Rise Up Climate Event to promote and exhibit CATE lessons. Julia is particularly interested in the clean energy transition and the economics of climate change. Outside of CATE, Julia is a co-leader of Spring Forward, a youth-led climate organization focused on curriculum development and teacher training for elementary and middle schools. She also recently completed a research project examining the economic effects and causality among carbon emissions, economic growth, and clean energy policies in India.
