Aisling O’Grady manages the Climate Action Through Education (MIT CATE) Program through the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEPR). She drives the development of interdisciplinary climate curriculum at the high school level, various climate professional development endeavors, large conferences, outreach, fundraising, and all associated logistics — alongside a team of local high school teachers and Faculty Director Professor Christopher R. Knittel. She joined CATE in 2020, having previously worked as a member of the MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI)’s Education team. There, beginning in 2017, she coordinated undergraduate energy programming, conducted research on the climate and conflict nexus, and coordinated the Design Thinking Zero Carbon Islands Project.

She is also the Communications Program Manager for the MIT Climate Policy Center, leading the monthly newsletter, web presence, communication campaigns, and knowledge product dissemination. Aisling also focuses on bridging the gap between research and practice, taking academic research already tailored for policymakers and making it relevant, usable, and engaging for teachers through the MIT CATE program.

Aisling holds a B.A. in International Affairs and Environmental Studies from Northeastern University, and an A.S. from Middlesex Community College. She is currently pursuing a Master’s of Education at Trinity College, Dublin.
